I've spent twenty years on the commercial side of complex markets. The last twelve in healthcare.

I'm Deborah McMahon. I help digital health technology companies figure out how to sell into payers and health systems — and then build the organization that can do it repeatedly.

What I actually do

My work sits at the intersection of product and marketing, which is where most healthcare go-to-market problems live. A product team builds for the clinical user. A sales team sells to the economic buyer. A marketing team writes for neither. Meanwhile the customer — a payer or a health system with its own committees, budget cycles, and internal politics — hears three different stories and picks the vendor who made it easy.

I close that gap. Sharpen the positioning, reposition portfolios for new buyers, accelerate launches, and align cross-functional teams around one path to revenue. I work shoulder to shoulder with leadership teams — near-term impact first, then the roadmap for lasting change.

If you are a healthcare executive trying to solve these kinds of problems for your organization or department, we should talk. →

Track record

Over the past decade I've partnered with organizations across the healthcare ecosystem — payers, health systems, life sciences, medical device, and digital health — leading product strategy, go-to-market execution, and operational transformation.

Earlier in my career I led sales, marketing, and strategy for Fortune 100 organizations and PE-backed startups — building brands, launching product lines, and delivering the kind of measurable outcomes investors and boards expect. Healthcare buyers are unusual, but the underlying commercial discipline is the same.

Executives value my ability to create clarity, make smart decisions, and operationalize change—without overcomplicating the work or losing sight of growth.
